Coming on smooth, and sometimes even singing with a voice like Drake, rapper Logic launched his career through mixtapes and uploads, with his views and downloads counting into the millions before he signed a record deal. Born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Logic dropped his first mixtape, Young, Broke, and Infamous, in 2010. His breakthrough came when Young Sinatra dropped in 2011, then the Young Sinatra: Undeniable mixtape arrived in 2012, and with so many downloads and so much press increasing his fame, Logic headed to Europe for a solo tour with no label support. A success, the tour was followed by a world tour in 2013 along with the release of the mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever. In 2014 he finally made his official debut with the Def Jam release Under Pressure. The album featured no guest artists and was executive produced by No I.D. The guest was short for the 2015 follow-up The Incredible True Story, a ambitious concept album that was based 100 years in the future.
