In support of his second solo album, Something More Than Free, Jason Isbell is extending his time on the road in 2016. Jason Isbell is an American singer-songwriter hailing from Greenhill, Alabama. He first found himself immersed in the music scene as part of the rock band Drive-By Truckers, with whom he wrote music and toured with until 2007. Isbell then decided to pursue a solo career, and now performs and records alongside his band The 400 Unit, which consists of Sadler Vaden of Drivin’ N Cryin’, Jimbo Hart, Derry DeBorja (formerly of Son Volt), and Al Gamble’s brother, Chad Gamble. His debut solo album, ‘Sirens of the Ditch’, came out in 2007, and saw him finding a fair amount of success – two years later and he’d put out a second record, and his first with the 400 Unit, ‘Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit’.
